We mainly use Agisoft Metashape but also use Zephyr as there is a free version for less than 50 photos for learning.

Sometimes it is possible to run the projects with older laptops (if the photo resolution is not too high and there are not too many shots), but it is not practical in terms of time so not recommended.

The course is just classroom based.
- Images are provided for sturents to work on during the course.
- The techniques for taking the photo/video for the photogrammetry are illustrated with animations and video.
- This is then refined by showing scenarios where it does not work perfectly so we can go through the process of fixing projects.
- Students are encouraged enthusiastically to follow up by going for a dive and taking their own photos to try (recommendations on locations and approaches are provided, based on the camera being used).
- Support is provided over Zoom for processing these projects.

Our goal is to have a community of successful 3D modellers sharing projects and ultimately working on larger projects together.

In the near future, we will run sessions on Advanced Photogrammetry, Blender for animations and Video Editing.
We are happy to hear all feedback on specific areas of interest within these.

The process varies but is usually based on the following:
- Work together (over Zoom or face to face) spinning the model around in 3D and picking some interesting perspectives.
- Render basic samples of these in low res for reference.
- Pick the relevant one.
- Work together on adding the logo/text/write up.
- Run iterations on this if nexessary.
- Wait for the final print to arrive.

These have been done for websites, brochures, marketing banners and other variations.
Because we have the ability to specify dimensions of the final image, the finalresolution, and literally any view we want, the possibilities are incredibly vast so no idea is too 'out there' to discuss.

DSLRs will produce better results. However, a GoPro with good lights can also produce reliable results.

Blender is a free package with an immense range of capabilities for this.

The amount that can be done will depend on the quality of the old media, but we encourage this as it provides more richness to the final product.
